Messages identified as spam are modified to begin the message subject with **Spam**. By adding the following rule to Outlook Express, these messages will be moved out of the inbox into a junk mail folder.
We recommended that you check the junk folder routinely in order to make sure that mail you actually want isn't being filtered.
Open Outlook Express
Select Tools > Message Rules > Mail

Click on the New button. This will bring up the New Mail Rule box

Under "Select the conditions for your rule" check the box next to "Where the Subject line contains specific words"

Under "Rule Description (click on an underlined value to edit it)"click on the underlined value "contains specific words" this will bring up the Type Specific Words box

In this window type **Spam**

Click the "Add" button and verify the box looks as follows and then click Ok:

Under "Select the Actions for your rule" check the box next to "Move it to the specified folder"

Under "Rule Description (click on an underlined value to edit it)" click on the underlined word "specified" where it says "Move it to the specified folder"

This will bring up the Move box

Click the "New Folder" button

Type Junk in the New Folder box and hit Ok

You will now see a Junk folder listed under Local Folders

Click Ok to return to the New Mail Rule Box which should look as follows:

Click Ok and make sure the check box is checked next to the new rule and click Ok.

Enter your email address in the box below and click the Send Test button. You should receive a message that has **Spam** in the subject line. This message will be automatically moved to the Junk folder.
The setup is now complete. Be sure to periodically check the Junk folder for legitimate email.
